Installation method of water meter:
1.When selecting a water meter, it is necessary to choose a water meter with the same diameter according to the size of the water pipe.
2. Water meters are installed horizontally, usually with the surface facing upwards, and the arrow inside the water meter should be aligned with the direction of the faucet. And before installing the water meter, it is necessary to ensure that there are no other magazines in the water pipe to avoid shortening the service life of the water meter.
3.Valves should be installed both upstream and downstream of the water pipe, and should be opened when in use. If not used for a long time, the valves should be closed.
4. It is necessary to install a certain length of straight pipe section upstream and downstream of the water pipe, and some bends may cause eddy currents. In this case, a rectifier should be added in front.
5. The outlet downstream of the water meter must be 0.5m higher than the water meter to ensure more accurate counting.
Details that are prone to occur when installing water meters:
01. If it is a newly laid pipeline, before installing the water meter, it is necessary to clean the debris inside the water pipe to avoid causing the water meter to move slowly or even stop moving in the future.
02. Before installing the water meter, it is necessary to understand the direction of water flow in the pipeline, and then ensure that the arrow on the water meter is consistent with the direction of water flow during installation. This is more convenient for the later use of water meters and the data will be more accurate.
03. There will be a dial on the water meter. When installing, we should keep it horizontal and install the dial facing upwards. If the installation is uneven, it will increase the frictional resistance between the water meter wing wheel axle, resulting in a decrease in the sensitivity of the water meter and ultimately leading to inaccurate measurement data. The more inclined the water meter is installed, the slower it will travel.
04. If the water meter is installed outdoors, it is necessary to install a protective box for the water meter, which can protect it from sunlight and rain, prolong its service life, and provide more accurate measured data.
