How to read the water meter?

The reading methods of different water meters vary:

1. Pure pointer type is the oldest way to display water meter data. The red pointer can be ignored, and we can directly read it from the black pointer. In a counterclockwise direction, the first black pointer is a single digit, followed by tens, hundreds, thousands, and tens of thousands. This type of water meter is now rare, but some units will choose this pure pointer type water meter for the total water inlet meter.

2. The dial of the intelligent prepaid water meter (IC card intelligent type) includes a number reading area and a pointer area. We can see that the pointer area is red, and the number markings in the pointer area are x0.1, x0.01, x0.001, x0.0001. These numbers can be ignored and belong to the number after the decimal point. We can directly refer to the black number reading area above, and now it displays 1 cubic meter, which is 1 ton.
