When installing ultrasonic water meters, the direction of water flow, installation location and pipeline conditions should be considered, as follows

 

1.First of all, we must first determine whether there is a one-way flow or a two-way flow: it is usually a one-way flow, but we can also design more complex electronic circuits into a two-way flow. At this time, the length of the straight pipe section on both sides of the flow measurement point should be arranged according to the requirements of the upstream straight pipe section.

 

2.Furthermore, the installation location and flow direction of the water meter: the sensing components of the ultrasonic water meter can generally be installed on the horizontal tube, inclined tube or vertical tube. It is better to choose the position where the riser flows from the bottom to the top. If it is from the top to the bottom, there should be sufficient back pressure downstream of it. For example, set up a back-end pipeline at the measurement point to prevent the flow of the riser.

 

3.Pipeline condition: The deposition of the inner surface area of the ultrasonic water meter pipeline will cause poor sound wave transmission and deviate from the expected channel path and length. This situation should be avoided; In addition, due to the small influence of the external surface, it is easy to deal with.The contact surface between the sensor and the pipeline should be coated with a couplant, and attention should be paid to the diameter of the granular material. It is possible that the sound waves will be dispersed, and most of the sound waves cannot be transported into the fluid, thereby reducing performance. There must be no gap between the pipe lining or corrosion layer and the pipe wall. Regarding pipeline issues, we should also pay attention to pipeline parameters to ensure that the parameters of the pipeline are accurately understood, such as the outer diameter, inner diameter, thick wall, etc. of the pipeline, in order to obtain the highest accuracy.

 

4.Ultrasonic water meter installation environment selection: install in a place where disassembly and assembly are convenient and maintenance is convenient; the installation site should not vibrate violently, and the ambient temperature does not change much; try to stay away from large motors, transformers and other equipment with strong electromagnetic fields.
