The electromagnetic water meter has the characteristics of high measurement accuracy, wide range, and no damage due to overloading. It is suitable for water metering with large flow and large instantaneous flow change, and can better solve the problems existing in mechanical water meter metering.

 

The working principle of electromagnetic water meter is the same as that of electromagnetic flowmeter, both of which are based on Faraday's electromagnetic induction law. The electromagnetic water meter adopts a specially designed sensor excitation system and a high-performance lithium battery power supply system, and uses an embedded ultra micro power processor with full digital signal processing function. Its main performance features are:

(1) It is designed with low power consumption and is powered by a built-in 3.6V lithium battery. The excitation current is 20 mA. It can work continuously for 5~10a and it is convenient to replace the battery.

(2) With automatic two-way measurement function, it can display instantaneous flow, flow rate, pressure, positive and negative cumulative total, battery power, etc.

(3) There are no movable and resistance parts in the measuring pipe, no winding, blocking, no pressure loss, and it can work continuously for a long time.

(4) The measuring range is wide, the measuring range of velocity is 0~15m/s, and the measuring accuracy is high (± 1.0%).

(5) The measurement is stable, and the measurement accuracy is not affected by the change of physical parameters such as temperature, pressure, accuracy, density of the measured medium.

(6) It has the functions of pulse output, RS485 interface and GPRS/4G wireless data remote transmission (supporting GSM, GPRS and CDMA).

(7) With data saving function: more than 1000 groups of flow data can be saved, and the data storage time can be set and queried arbitrarily according to requirements.

As for the application benefits of electromagnetic water meter, let's give an example to illustrate:

 

Due to the need of building infrastructure water, two DN80 mechanical water meters were installed for metering in a residential area. The water used is temporary building water, and the water supply is still difficult to meet the user's requirements. There are many complaints. Due to the large change of instantaneous flow, the water meter is frequently damaged, and the water meter has to be replaced once every three months on average. The maintenance cost is very high. Later, a DN100 battery powered electromagnetic water meter was used to replace two DN80 mechanical water meters, significant increase in water sales.
