What factors should be considered for water meter installation--1
Shengda believes that the correct installation of water meters is a necessary guarantee for ensuring accurate measurement of water meters. The installation of water meters must consider safety, convenience, and correct reliability.
1 Security
(1) Before installing a water meter on a newly laid pipeline, the debris inside the pipeline must be washed clean before installation to avoid damaging the water meter or affecting its normal operation after water is supplied.
(2) When installing a water meter, it is necessary to consider that the water pressure and temperature used on site are within the maximum operating pressure and temperature of the water meter. When installing small caliber civilian water meters, attention should also be paid to whether the connecting pipe and pipe nut of the water meter have a particularly thin feel to avoid installing counterfeit and inferior water meters.
(3) Outdoor water meters should generally be installed with protective boxes and should not be installed in places exposed to sunlight or freezing to prevent external damage. During the severe winter season, outdoor water meters installed should have anti freezing measures.
Explanation: Water supply enterprises in the northern region (north of the Yangtze River) generally require outdoor water meters to be installed below the permafrost layer. Indoor heating can ensure that indoor water meters are free from frost cracking, but the situation is actually better than in the south.
(4) Consider anti-theft measures, especially copper case water meters.
(5) The installation position of the water meter should also avoid the erosion of corrosive gases.
(6) If an industrial water meter is installed near a boiler, a check valve should be installed behind the meter to prevent hot water from flowing back and damaging the water meter parts.
